About
Duke Children's Healthy Lifestyles (Durham, NC) is a one-year, family-based program for children with a body mass index (BMI) at or above the 95th percentile. We focus on healthy eating, movement activities, proper rest, and healthy stress management to help optimize your child's health and well-being while lowering risk for chronic diseases associated with excess weight. Visit the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) website and find out your child's BMI to see if he/she qualifies. Simply enter your child's birth date, height and weight, http://apps.nccd.cdc.gov/dnpabmi/. We accept most insurance plans, including Medicaid. Our office is open Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.
