About Lise VernascoLise Vernasco, L.Ac., Dipl.O.M. Lise began receiving acupuncture after her Podiatrist recommended it for the treatment of heel spurs. Over the years she found Chinese medicine highly effective in the quick and affordable treatment of sports injuries and pain. After her children were grown Lise decided to undertake the study of Chinese medicine. Lise Vernasco is a graduate of the Master's program at the Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley, California. The program is comprised of three and one third years of academic and clinical instruction in traditional Chinese medicine. Approximately forty percent of the curriculum is devoted to the study of western medicine. Ms. Vernasco studied gynecology, neurology, and dermatology in Tianjin, China. She is particularly interested in the treatment of pain and sports related injuries and acupuncture for facial rejuvenation. Ms. Vernasco has completed certification courses in facial acupuncture with Virginia Doran and Mary Elizabeth Wakefield. She practices weekly on her own face.
