About
Dr. Smoots' practice is currently CLOSED to new patients. Her "Healthier You" newsletter is OPEN to new subscribers (more info nearby). I am a board-certified family physician with special interests in integrative medicine, functional medicine, digestive problems, allergies or food sensitivities, and other chronic health conditions. My preventive approach focuses on nutrition, fitness, and mind-body techniques as well as maximizing wellness for women, men and teens. As a graduate fellow of Dr. Andrew Weil's Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine, I have received comprehensive training in integrative medicine. I am also a member of the Institute for Functional Medicine, where I am a Functional Medicine Certified Practitioner. Additionally, I am a Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach as well as a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC). My book "Allergy Guide: Alternative & Conventional Solutions," presents an integrative approach for the treatment of allergies and upper respiratory infections.
