About
Dr. Jennifer Williamson, ND, RH(AHG) She/Her, is fat, neurodiverse and disabled. In 2009, she graduated from the Sonoran University of Health Sciences (formerly Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and Health Sciences). After Naturopathic Medical School, she worked in Buffalo, New York for a few years both seeing clients and teaching as adjunct faculty at Daemen University’s Complementary and Alternative Therapies program. In 2012, she moved to Vermont to join Avalon Natural Medicine, which she purchased and has been running since 2017. Along the way, Dr. Jen has picked up a variety of specialized treatment modalities, many of which she had been the first and/or only physician to be trained in Vermont. These include Walsh’s Advanced Nutrient Therapy (2017), Softwave Tissue Regeneration Technologies (2022), Pain Reprocessing Therapy (2023) and Fascial Counterstrain (2024). As a fat woman, she also celebrates Fat Liberation, Body Diversity, Health At Every Size and is a member of the Association for Size Diversity and Health. She is socially active in her community, vocally supporting LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC citizens, as well as working to make our offices inviting and supportive to the medical needs of these communities.
