David Becker

About

In my private psychotherapy practice I offer individual psychotherapy for adults, children, and adolescents. My core training is in the psychodynamic model of Control-Mastery Theory (an unfortunate name for a psychotherapy model, but one that offers a grounded, relational approach to working with people). My additional training and influences include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, mindfulness meditation (and a range of mind-body practices), and Somatic Experiencing (I'm not a trained practitioner, but I have a strong appreciation for this approach). I enjoy working with adults, teens, and children who are dealing with anxiety, major life adjustments to illness, relationship difficulties, or other life challenges.
