Alisa Vickrey

About

Alisa Vickrey grew up in rural Illinois, and attended undergraduate training in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Cornell College in Iowa. She earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Chatham University in Pittsburgh. She relocated to Humboldt from Alaska, where she piloted a “street medicine” program for the homeless while working at the Alaska Family Medicine Residency and Providence Family Medicine. She has had experience in rural Alaska as well. Alisa was drawn to the North Coast by its redwood forests, friendly people, and optional snow. She enjoys spending time outdoors, practicing yoga, playing music, and travelling.
