I know each patient has specific desires and concerns, so I really listen and encourage them to tell me what they want out of care. By listening without judgment, establishing open and trusting communication, and genuinely caring for a patient, we build a relationship. It’s essential that people know I don’t just fix teeth; I care about the whole person and want to help them succeed. It is an honor to meet and spend time with people from different backgrounds, at different points in their lives.
