Odd edibles from an even odder brand. There were some things that impressed us about this ambitious THC edible catastrophe here and there, but overall, our experience was a flop. Learn why we couldn’t give Sundae School’s mochi gummies a higher score.

Sundae School is a smaller California THC brand with a bit of an attitude problem. “Minimum GPA required for matriculation is 4.20” is emblazoned in large print on Sundae School’s homepage, a complicated and bizarre joke that makes you wonder when the last time was the dudes in charge of this operation weren’t stoned out of their gourds.

That little tidbit sets the context for the rest of what you’re about to hear. These edibles were so weird that we’re concerned about their safety. Going with smaller brands is always a gamble, and at least when it comes to edibles, Sundae School will make you come up snake eyes.

Price

Well, at least they were cheap. Most 100mg edibles cost around $20-$25 in California, making our mochi gummies affordable even if they weren’t high-quality. A price that low should be a sign, though — of the bad kind.

Activation & Duration

We honestly aren’t sure if these gummies ever hit us. Where were those 10mg of THC? We tried taking more than one gummy at a time to make sure, but the poor flavor and texture made it a chore, not a treat.

  • Activation time: 2 hours for light effects
  • Effects lasted for: 30 minutes

Convenience

The Sundae School Lychee Dragon Mochi Gummies are only convenient because they are gummies. Otherwise, these edibles are overall not recommended due to their poor flavor, texture, and effects.

  • Sold in: LA, SF, SD, Tahoe, Sacramento, Palm Springs

Flavor & Aroma

There might be a reason you don’t see more THC mochi around. Fresh-made, authentic Japanese mochi is to die for, but it’s not the type of thing that preserves all that well. It doesn’t help that this cannabis mochi is about the furthest thing from authentic we could imagine.

Best Dosage

If you’re dedicated to the idea of using these inept gummies to achieve your THC fix, we suppose we’d recommend taking two gummies every two hours or so.

Target Audience

These edibles are cheap, so you might pick up a container of Sundae School Lychee Dragon Mochi Gummies if you’re strapped for cash. Overall, though, these gummies are not recommended — you can buy a lot better for just a little bit more. If you’re hankering for some real mochi, head down to Little Tokyo in LA.

If you’re dedicated to the idea of using these inept gummies to achieve your THC fix, we suppose we’d recommend taking two gummies every two hours or so.

Sundae School Lychee Dragon Mochi Gummies FAQ

1. Does Sundae School sell clothing?

No, that’s an apparel brand that happens to have the same name. As far as we’re aware, the cannabis producer Sundae School doesn’t sell any branded merchandise.

2. Is Sundae School Dragon Mochi good?

No, it’s awful, in fact. This mochi tastes terrible, has a bad texture, and isn’t effective. We would strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere.

3. Is Sundae School boba good?

Based on what we’ve been able to find on the internet, Sundae School’s THC-infused boba seems about as poorly received as this California cannabis producer’s attempt at mochi. We appreciate Sundae School’s focus on East Asian delicacies, but we wish they lived up to the hype.
