The effects of our Lume Bloodstar weed took more than 10 minutes to be noticeable. Once they kicked in, however, we enjoyed approximately 1 hour of a clear-minded experience that may have improved our focus on tasks.
Our gram of Lume Bloodstar came in the same packaging as other grams we’ve bought from this brand. As always, we appreciated the ample labeling but question the choice of clear plastic packaging.
The Lume website indicates that the dominant terpenes in Bloodstar are myrcene and limonene. We did not detect, however, the flavors or aromas of either of these terpenes.
The aroma of Lume’s Bloodstar was very subtle. There was an aroma of grass—like a wet flower garden—and a note of spicy pepper.
The flavor was harsh. This bud tasted like it was all stem or even like it might have been contaminated with tobacco. The aftertaste was bitter.
The texture of Bloodstar was too dry for a joint, so we sampled it in a glass pipe in two separate sessions of approx 0.5g each. Choose some classier weed if you want to roll a big doobie.
There are better Lume strains out there than Bloodstar if you want to try what this top Michigan brand has to offer. You might as well throw it in with some other grams in your online cart, though, if you want to get a full grasp of everything Lume Cannabis has to offer.
Bloodstar is a decidedly sativa-leaning strain. It’s descended from Skunk, WiFi, and Death Star, giving this strain an intricate genetic profile that might be best sampled by smoking buds cultivated by a producer other than Lume.
The Lume Recover Cartridge is a disposable THC/CBD vape cartridge available in Michigan Lume dispensaries. Containing approximately 30% THC and 50% CBD, this CBD-dominant cartridge still contains enough THC to get you decidedly high. This cartridge is ideal for people dealing with chronic pain or workout fatigue.
Based on internet reviews, Lume employees have rated this company an average of approximately 3.5 out of 5 stars. While employees praise the hours and benefits Lume provides, they bemoan an overly complex corporate structure that can sometimes result in stressful inefficiencies on the job. Employing more than 1,000 people in Michigan, Lume is certainly a company to consider working for if you live in the Great Lakes State.
Before the committee gets their hands on the product and formally rates it, the BestDosage team scrapes the product packaging, scours the internet, and occasionally calls the brand directly to hunt down the most accurate information about each product.
