You get what you pay for — FloraCal’s weed costs a little bit more, but it’s beautiful, indoor-grown, and excellently packaged.
We’re not sure which factor could be causing this, but FloraCal weed often takes a little while to hit us. Once the high does arrive, it’s usually quite enjoyable. Bananas Foster made us feel excited and creative for well over an hour.
There’s something really satisfying about removing a nug or two of FloraCal weed and rolling it into a joint. This brand’s buds are just exceedingly well-packaged, and they’re easy on the eye as well. FloraCal’s packaging makes sure no Bananas Foster nugs will fall out if you decide to pack your eighth in a bag.
There’s a strong aroma the moment you open the jar. The primary notes are cinnamon, orange, hops, pine, and lavender.
Once you start smoking FloraCal Bananas foster, you’ll notice a light cream flavor on the first few hits followed by a nice light herbal smoke that won’t hurt your throat. There was hardly any aftertaste, and my mouth didn’t feel dry after smoking this strain.
We rolled and smoked a 1g joint of FloraCal Bananas Foster. While the effects took a while to kick in, we found this dosage to be perfect for sharing between 1-3 people.
FloraCal is a bit up there in pricing, but not ridiculously so. If you’re looking for great examples of how to do indoor cannabis cultivation right, Bananas Foster and the other strains this brand produces are excellent places to start. Our only concern is the activation time of some FloraCal strains — we’re often left wondering if we should roll another joint before the effects hit.
In our experience, the heavily sativa-dominant Bananas Foster strain is great for getting enhanced enjoyment out of outdoor activities or relieving the tedium of daily activities. Prepare to experience a relatively balanced head high and body high.
No, these two strains are not directly related despite having similar names. Bananas Foster is a cross of Lemon Banana Sherbet and Sugar Daddy while Banana Bread’s parents are Purple Kush and Vietnamese Black.
Some examples of popular strains in the FloraCal Strain Index include Macaroon, Da Funk, Julius, apple Runtz, Kush Mints, and Limeade.
