Cannabis & Glass is one of the only dispensaries in the Spokane area that offers curbside pickup. You have to follow me around with a stapler to get a mask on my face, so the Liberty Lake location of C&G is among my favorite stops.
Connecting a new Pax pod to my ERA battery is usually convenient — Dream Beaver didn’t disappoint. Before vaping, I registered my pod in the Pax app via Bluetooth connection to Chrome on desktop (still no Pax app in the iOS App Store).
At the designated temperature, the clouds I blew were pretty pathetic. Ratcheting things up a few degrees, my puffs got thicker without making the super-weird taste of Dream Beaver any more bizarre.
I only wish the life on the Pax ERA Battery were a little longer. I’m used to batteries that last 2-3 days on a single charge, but the Pax battery barely lasts a single day.
I just wasn’t a big fan of the taste of Dream Beaver. Beavers have glands that emit weird oils used in artificial food flavorings. I couldn’t get that out of my head as I puffed on this undeniably musky sativa strain.
It has to be said, however, that live resin is a cut above other extraction methods, and Dabstract is certainly good at making live resin. I’ve tried Dream Beaver in the form of a conventional cartridge as well, and I can say that both product types taste high-quality — if a little icky according to my personal predilections.
It ain’t a vape cartridge if it don’t kick in quick. To be sure, Dream Beaver’s designated temperature somewhat diminished the onset of this pod’s effects, but once I got my Dabstract concentrate properly blazing, strong effects started hitting me exactly as anticipated.
Perhaps it was just the flavor of Dream Beaver getting to my head. Or, maybe I was being compelled to find my Spirit Beaver somewhere out there in the wilderness. Something about Dabstract Dream Beaver made me feel restless.
I’m used to Sativas providing energy. I could immediately tell that Dream Beaver was a particularly strong sativa, so I was prepared for highly stimulating effects.
Dream Beaver isn’t the type of strain that makes you want to sit and make art, however — at least, not in my experience. It sort of made me itch to get out my skin.
I can envision Dream Beaver being highly useful in a high-pressure situation like studying for a test or pulling an all-nighter to finish a project. There’s something subtly intense about the effects of this strain that won’t give you the happy-go-lucky, feel-good vibe of gigglier sativas.
Dabstract’s concentrates are up there within Washington’s recreational cannabis price range. This half-gram cost $45, which is mainly due to two factors:
Yep, for some reason, pods for Pax ERA pens are always 30-50% more expensive than standard cartridges. With Bluetooth temperature control and cartridge tracking, I get that Pax offers premium concentrate solutions.
For the average vaper, however, that’s all just bells and whistles. You can save a lot and still enjoy Dabstract-level quality by picking up Dream Beaver or any other Dabstract strain in conventional cartridge form — I snagged a full gram for just $50, which is still expensive but not so sky-high crazy as Dabstract’s ERA pods.
Pax is all about dosage. Set at the manufacturer-specified temperature, your Dabstract Dream Beaver Pod will deliver the same (albeit small) dose every single time.
Since Pax is a little bit light on the potency, we’d suggest you take 3-4 hits every session when it comes to Dream Beaver or any other Pax ERA pod vaped at the recommended temperature. As usual, dosing every 2-3 hours is enough to maintain consistent effects throughout the day.
Google is a little bit confused and thinks Dabstract is an album by “dj basslife.” Real humans are still a bit smarter, however, so I know that Dabstract is actually a high-end Seattle cannabis producer.Focusing primarily on dabs (no kidding?), Dabstract also produces both conventional vape cartridges and Pax ERA pods. Dream Beaver is a prime example of Dabstract’s connoisseur preference for obscure cannabis genetics run amok. It’s high-quality, artisan-crafted, and a little funky — remind anyone of the PNW?
Do you love having dreams about beavers? It’s hard to know what Dabstract’s pitch is here — but lovers of ultra-heady sativas will enjoy this live resin concentrate as long as they’re also fans of Pax.
Just remember Dream Beaver isn’t your ordinary sativa. I found its effects to be downright perplexing, so the next time you need your brain to be confused but your body to be active, call upon the somewhat unsettling power of Dabstract Dream Beaver.
Still curious about anything related to the Dabstract Dream Beaver PAX Pod?
Not especially. In Washington, there are plenty of better live resin concentrates sold at much lower prices.
Dabstract’s live resin is a little bit darker amber in color than other live resin I’ve tried as well, making me think their extract might not exactly represent the pinnacle of purity. It’s worth trying Dabstract for the novelty, but keep this brand as a side piece only.
I haven’t tried Dabstract’s disposable pens — only their pods and cartridges. Since I’m not a big fan of disposable pens in general, however, I’d have to say Dabstract’s conventional 510-threaded vape cartridges represent the pinnacle of this brand’s product lineup.
