At least this weed got us high — unlike other A Golden State strains we’ve tried. Still, you can’t help but expect a little bit more from a $60 eighth. This strain didn’t blow us away how top-shelf weed should.
This strain took a second to kick in, but once it did, we were pleasantly stoned for around half an hour. Sativa buzzes often seem to wear off quickly anyway, and there’s something about either the cultivation or genetics of Honey Flower that makes the strain weak despite its high THC content.
We like the packages A Golden State weed comes in a lot. Some might find it excessive, but there’s nothing like a little luxury where it counts. If only that luxury extended to the quality of the weed.
There’s a sweet, honey-like pine aroma when you open the jar. A very light honey and floral taste is noticeable while you smoke Honey Flower, and the strain has little to no aftertaste.
To test this strain, we rolled a 1g joint and smoked it outside. We think this is a great way to enjoy Honey Flower.
If you’re looking for a fancy, feminine strain to enjoy at a bachelorette party among inexperienced cannabis users, Honey Flower might be a nice gift eighth. It’s not really great for daily use, though, even among lovers of sativas, due to its quickly dissipating, low-grade effects.
Honey Flower appears to be a strain that A Golden State bred itself, and this California cannabis brand hasn’t released any information regarding the cultivar’s parentage. As a result, it’s impossible to know whether Honey Flower is related to the popular strain Honey Tree.
Honey Flower from A Golden State has light effects that will leave you with a peppy sativa buzz for around half an hour. In our experience, though, this strain doesn’t quite “take you there.”
